The central experience of Before Your Eyes is, over and over again, wanting to linger in the current memory just a little bit longer. But then you blink: your eyes are watering and you can’t will them open for another second; or, your reflexes kick in, and you only realize that you closed your eyes after the scene has already shifted. Without the eye-tracking, I would have let each scene play to its end. Before Your Eyes teaches you to accept that moments will pass and to appreciate what is in front of you.
